Valles Quarter Horses carries the EV Brand, built by founder Eleazar Valles on six-plus generations of ranching and farming heritage — and on integrity, honesty, and sincerity that have been instilled in Eleazar and his family from the start. What started in 2005 has grown into an operation with thousands of references and past customers who can vouch for the way we do business.
Today the operation stretches from our home place just west of Hennessey, Oklahoma, west to the Cimarron River, home to a herd of over 100 head — including our Mare & Weanling program and a Stallion Panel that Eleazar has spent the last ten years perfecting to offer to the public.

A Family Built Around Horses
Eleazar Valles comes from six-plus generations of ranchers and farmers who always appreciated owning a fine specimen of a horse. His father, founder of the famous PV Brand, passed away when Eleazar was just six years old.
What might have been an ordinary childhood was instead overtaken by dedication — Eleazar took on the responsibility of helping run the family ranch in San Juan De Los Valles, Zacatecas, Mexico, all while maintaining a strong, lifelong interest in breeding and owning a horse that any person would be proud of.

Eleazar Valles
Founder. Raised in San Juan De Los Valles, Zacatecas, Eleazar has dedicated his life to raising horses worth being proud of.
Day to day, Eleazar is always improving every part of our program to produce the very best horses for our customers.
Sandra Valles
Wife and mother, and the glue behind the operation. Sandra does it all, from the paperwork to the critical thinking and decision-making that keep the ranch running.
Mauricio Valles
Has spent his entire life training horses, and starts our 2 and 3 year olds — he's sold finished roping horses across the country.
Brandon Valles
Brandon connects our customers with the horse he believes is the perfect fit for them — their next lifetime prized horse.
Johanna Valles
The youngest of the family, Johanna spends a lot of her time with the weanlings — building trust, forming bonds, and halter breaking, making it easier for clients to begin further training. She has a real talent for it.

Show Me The Blondes
2019 Palomino Quarter Horse Stallion · Sired by Show Me The Buckles (Relentless Remudas) · 4 Panel N/N, GBED N/G
Show Me The Blondes is one of the oldest sons of Show Me The Buckles, the stallion 26-time World Champion roper Trevor Brazile and top horseman Miles Baker purchased for their Relentless Remuda rope horse program after riding his foals and liking what they saw. Show Me The Buckles earned $162,400 in the reining pen and was Level 4 Open Reserve Co-Champion of the 2011 NRHA Futurity.
Go back one more generation and it only gets better. Show Me The Buckles is by Wimpys Little Step, who won the 2002 NRHA Open Futurity with Shawn Flarida, is in the NRHA Hall of Fame, and is an NRHA $12 Million Sire. His dam is a daughter of Topsail Whiz, another NRHA Hall of Famer and the first stallion ever to become an NRHA $10 Million Sire.
On the bottom, his dam Sheza Blonde Bullet is by Heza Nu Jewel, a son of Nu Chex To Cash (NRHA Hall of Fame, $3 Million Sire), out of The Bullet Express by Rawhides Slvr Bullet. That crosses reining-bred stop, trainability and mind with the speed and cow sense ropers want.
Why breed to him: three NRHA Hall of Fame sires in his first three generations, and the same bloodline one of the greatest ropers of all time chose for his own rope horse program. He also brings palomino color and a good mind, and he's 4 Panel N/N.

Dunit N The Red
2004 AQHA Palomino Stallion
Dunit N The Red is a grandson of Hollywood Dun It, one of the most famous names in reining. Hollywood Dun It won the 1987 NRHA Open Derby and Superstakes, is in both the NRHA and AQHA Halls of Fame, and was the first sire ever to have foals earn $3 million and then $4 million. He went on to become an NRHA $6 Million Sire.
His sire, Reminic N Dunit, is out of a daughter of Reminic, an NRHA Million Dollar Sire. On the bottom, his dam Prescription Red is by Doc's Prescription, a son of Doc Bar, the AQHA Hall of Fame stallion who changed the cutting horse industry forever.
That's proven, award-winning cutting and reining blood on both sides. Why breed to him: Hollywood Dun It and Doc Bar bloodlines at a very accessible stud fee.

FADEDD
2022 Black Stallion · 5 Panel N/N · 14.2H
FADEDD is by A Vintage Smoke, an NRHA Triple Crown winner. That means he won reining's three biggest events: the NRHA Futurity (2018), the National Reining Breeders Classic (2019) and the NRHA Derby (2020). Very few horses have ever done it. A Vintage Smoke earned $600,650 in the show pen and has since become an NRHA Million Dollar Sire. He's also a grandson of Shining Spark, another NRHA multi-million dollar sire.
On the bottom, FADEDD's dam is by Smooth As A Cat, a son of High Brow Cat, the NCHA's all-time leading sire. That puts a Triple Crown champion on top and elite cutting blood on the bottom, in a compact, good-looking black horse. He's already siring standouts: his son Smooth As A Smoke is one of the best colts of our 2025 crop. Why breed to him: a son of a Triple Crown winner, with cow, color and a pedigree that does it all.

Gunner On Spark
2019 AQHA Rabicano Sorrel Stallion · 5 Panel N/N
Gunner On Spark has two of the greatest names in reining history on his papers.
On top: his sire, Gunner On Ice, is a son of the legendary Colonels Smoking Gun, known simply as "Gunner." Gunner was the 1996 NRHA Futurity Reserve Champion, and his foals have earned more than $12 million, making him the NRHA's All-Time Leading Sire. Gunner On Ice carried that on: he won the 2013 Canadian Pink Limited Open Derby and has sired world champions in ranch riding and ranch pleasure.
On the bottom: his dam, JD Shining Star, is a daughter of Shining Spark. Shining Spark was an AQHA World Champion and NRHA Open Derby Champion, and he's in the NRHA Hall of Fame. He's a Four Million Dollar Sire in both reining and reined cow horse, and his foals have earned more than $10 million. Her dam, Actress Anna, is by Hollywood Jac 86, the sire of Hollywood Dun It.
Why breed to him: the all-time leading reining sire on top and a Hall of Fame sire on the bottom, so the stop, turn and cow are bred in on both sides. Add his flashy rabicano coat, and you get foals that can do it all and get noticed doing it.

Gunner Hollywood Twist

Gunner Hollywood Twist carries three of the biggest names in reining.
On top: his sire, Chics San Guns, is a son of Colonels Smoking Gun ("Gunner"), the NRHA's All-Time Leading Sire, whose foals have earned more than $12 million. Chics San Guns is out of a daughter of Smart Chic Olena, the only horse in history to win AQHA World Championships in both cutting and reining. Smart Chic Olena is in the NRHA Hall of Fame and is an NRHA $5 Million Sire.
On the bottom: his dam, Lil Hollywood Twist, is by Hollywood Bomdiggity, a son of Hollywood Dun It, the NRHA and AQHA Hall of Famer and NRHA $6 Million Sire.
He's a cornerstone of our program, and many of the horses on our For Sale page are his foals. They're athletic, good-minded and versatile. Why breed to him: Gunner, Smart Chic Olena and Hollywood Dun It in one pedigree, and his foals speak for themselves.

HL One Playful Time is by One Time Pepto, a son of Peptoboonsmal, the 1995 NCHA Futurity Champion, out of a daughter of Smart Little Lena, an NCHA Triple Crown winner. His dam, Playful Rosie, is by the legendary cutting sire Freckles Playboy.
He went viral on social media for his ability to spin with nothing more than a lead rope around his neck. He's no longer standing at Valles Quarter Horses, but he's a key factor in our breeding program, producing the replacement mares carrying our herd into the years ahead.
